Ravenmoon has been dancing since the 1970s.   She started in Compton/Lynwood with June Jones, who was her very first teacher and who led her on the path of discovery into the Mystical beauty of North African Dance (It wasn't called that then)

Since then, she has performed at many functions, gatherings, rituals and ceremonies.  Her influences  in this beautiful dance are  some of the "Living Legends" and pioneers listed below:

VEILED ESSENCE

A veil is the Essence of the Beauty of the Goddess  
~Caress your veil let the fabric glide over your body~

~Hold veil between thumb and first two fingers~~

~Veil~

Center Veil if it is Retecangular or Circular

Luscious evaluated infinity lifts (making infinity sign with hips) with arms up-raised holding veil.

~Hands~

cartwheels: slow rotation of hands 360 degree circles.

 ~Hands of Spiraling serpents~ Descent of hands in a slow spiral/or S to frame  lower body.

Flow into a  “Ravenluscious” 8  with descent of serpentine hands, framing the  hips. hands  

~Finger curls~  softly closed, then open slowly with wave of fingers

Dives~ making slow diving motions downwards with fingers, then whole hand,

Ascent to upper body, and over head with Cartwheels.  

~Sweeps~  Right arm up to right side, at a slight angle, with right hand slowly

waving towards right side of face, and around to left side of face, while left hand undulates. Both hands come together and face lays on praying hands.

Infinity hip sways............... Step with ~Ball Flat~ Ball Flat```Four hip sways............... Sharp two- Hip Locks while walking
